Leaped and Landed

I'm back from my Eastern Europe Holiday~~~~

Funny i actually feel more excited coming back than going away. I know this trip may be considered to-die-for for many but call me insane....  i miss Jonathan Ang more (:


You should have already seen some of the photos I've uploaded during our trip. All snowy and pretty but the initial day was nothing but disgruntled explitives and rants, thanks to the inadequacies of a certain airline... our luggages (all 4 'cept for Martin's ---you lucky shit) were MISSING.


Knowing me, how can i shut up? I didn't. And coupled with the fact that i'm the odd one out, you can imagine the face. hahhahahahaa... i can be such a pain at times i can't even stand myself.


Fast forward our itinerary in 12 days PRAGUE > VIENNA > ZAGREB > FRANKFURT...... too much of the cold and parma ham is overkill. Also, i need to emphasize my hatred for sparkling water. I just need PURE DRINKING WATER. less the gas and bubbles... I'm no Mariah Carey..i don't demand Evian. I just need normal laymen drinking water! k...enough of the rants (:




Back home, it's 4 days of pure bliss..or should i say a sneak peak to "married life" was inexplicable from the moment i touched down. Those are the times you wish would last forever, not a two thousand dollars label tote.

Still very much jet-lagged for the week and totally pressed for time on last minute christmas shopping.

I swore the whole year through never to end up in a mad rush again yet here i am... RUSHING. mostly settled though, but still a few more here and there.... I'm. so. tired. Darn tired.

Chasing snow

I have officially one and a half day left before departure and i haven't even get down to packing yet. I stepped out from my room this morning to find this grosteque sight of winter wear stacked (thrown, rather) all over the sofa and i felt sick in the stomach right away...i hate packing. On top of that, i'm already down with flu and was running a slight fever since last night. Napping in time-capsule the night before did help a bit, but this morning was hell again when i woke up... my throat is still itching badly. And the image of my mum's sickly, miserable face last December came to mind.... not funny at all man. She was literally ailing throughout the entire Europe tour.

Bad choice to have Macs and Caramel Frap plus yogurt before the trip. I don't know what made me crave for those wicked stuff but I HAD THEM all....and I'm paying for it now.

Somehow i'm not beaming over the trip this time, maybe cus I'll be missing B really badly. Not seeing him for a few days is bad enough.... now ELEVEN freaking days! this is gonna be pure torture for the both of us. But it's okay, B... bearbear is gonna keep you company (: and i'm so looking forward to the 6pecs when i get back ;) LOL.

On a positive note, I think this trip is gonna be an awesome one cus we won't be rushing for time or whatever... We won't have to observe inhumane meeting timings just to keep in schedule. NO choping of bus seats (so unglam but necessary when you're in tour groups)... I get to thoroughly dry my hair to perfection each morning (very important. you don't wana look cui in photos when you've flewn halfway round the world to someplace you might never visit again)...and the list goes on..

Besides the very practical stuff, Prague is b-eau-ti-ful. You know what's the icing on the cake? It's the highly-raved Christmas markets they have there. Can you imagine a gazillion fairy lights draped everywhere?? ooooooh!!! the thought of it is already making me squirm in excitement!!! :D  and there's the medieval gothic structures it's known for.. i mad love those cus they remind me of my literature books (: I love visiting churches and castles...strolling across bridges and all.... lovely (:

I guess nothing beats a winter holiday in Europe. yesss...I'm counting my lucky stars everyday for these trips (:

Even so, i think it's still wise to manage our expectations a little bit this time round. We're very much on our own cus there's no tour guide. The weather is much more biting than the last Europe trip we had with temperatures ranging from 3Degrees to -1 or lower :/ We won't have a coach waiting for us to hide from the cold. We're gonna do a lot of walking in snow.. I hope the food won't come as a surprise for us either. I need REAL food. Basically, the experience is gonna be novel.

Chances are, i think the place is gonna look like this. everywhere.

Our general Itinerary as follows:

5th Dec SIN to FRANKFURT > connecting flight to PRAGUE.

5th Dec ~ 9th Dec - PRAGUE

9th Dec ~ 12th - Vienna, Austria (may change)

12th Dec ~ 14th Dec - Frankfurt, Germany

OH!! I Need to get gloves!!!!

 I just gotta say, i don't know how it happened... It just did. Having someone to love you isn't hard, but finding a person you will wana love back is like 1 in a million chances. I'm not into cheesy confessions but i just can't help basking in amazement about us. It's been a month of joy and butterflies and there's gonna be more of where those are coming from (:

Been very very long since the knitted-pack actually had brunch together on a lazy Sunday... We have to do this more often (: Next time, though, we'll have more than just 4. CMPB @ Dempsey is such an awesome place for chillout and tea in the afternoons and i'm quite damn sure it'll be a pretty sight at night as well. To begin with, Dempsey itself is already a gem on its own...

I'm really beginning to enjoy spending time with my newfound 'family' (: I must say i was quite unsure at first about whether i could fit in but now i know i've got nothing to worry about (: They're such a nice bunch!! Especially the kids..so enthu and full of energy.... and i had to snap away at their antics everytime. haha, can't help it. :P

B's mummy is really pretty... and very very nice!

 

I heart Christmas!

This christmas there's gonna be a major burning in my pockets...like what's new? I enjoy giving so much i bust my budget every year. I get carried away all the time... not like you don't know how the retail malls have this wicked ability to create this delusional atmosphere that even if you're left with 20bucks in your pocket, you will still find some reason to spend it... I mean, it's not exactly easy to resist the mood with all the shimmery-fairy lights tugging at my hem... the enticing big red ribbon bows...candy canes.....

...and i've still got a whole bag full of lame excuses where those came from ;)

Anyways, I've already made an honour-list of the very important people who are gonna recieve my blessings this year. If you don't receive yours, well, you know you've been forgotten. hahahahahhaa. JOKE :P And of cus, yours truly...hail the queen of Orchard Road, I'm gonna get something for myself too (: not like i've not been doing that all year round. haha.

And for the very first time, i'm finally able to pick a christmas gift for that special someone (:  i think this is the most anticipated part of all... (:

 

For myself, hmmmm... honestly, I think I've already got an early christmas surprise this year. No fancy wrappers or glitter stickers, just plainly you.

Organised chaos

Can't believe how fast everything went on Saturday.. Seems like yesterday where we were still raving about her (my dearest cousin's) big day and THERE, it's already been a good few days since the wedding.

Though i didn't do much for her besides following the entourage around the entire day night.. I was absolutely beaten by the end of it. Super, super, ultra tired. Plus i almost, ALMOST lose another of my Tiffany charms, AGAIN. Luckily for me, i get to snuggle-up in the most comfy place on the planet that night :P

 

The busiest of all can only be the bride herself.

I was soooo disappointed with my hair that night. everything was puuurffeecctt 'cept for the excessive hairdo :/ i totally looked like i was attending some award ceremony.

Weddings are tiresomely joyous affairs don'tyou think? it's a real oxymoron you know. So much time, effort and disagreement involved yet at the end of it completes the two. It's like an ultimate test of a relationship if you get what i mean. If you ask me, I'd prefer it to be intimate, romantic, less rehearsed or extravagent but classy. An awesome wedding planner would do the trick i guess? I was just chatting with another of my cousin who just got married on our way back. he had a point. This is part and parcel of marriage... the fun of it all is planning it yourself. kk, make sense. (: But the last thing i want is to break into a frantic search for my hand bouquet or be caught it a mad-rush down the rundown list. No, not gonna happen. Oh well, then again, that's just a thought.. haha.

Besotted.

Have you ever had that feeling of being in an amusement park with all but one daunting ride you settled never to try? It looks exciting and all but also totally out of your league.

I think for the past week I've been on that roller coaster ride. For the most part, i thought it's just gonna go higher and higher..till i almost lose track of what's supposed to be real.

Now I know what is. And the adrenaline rush of free falling into (not just the ground) but someone...without judgement, fear or reservations is just mind blowing.

The thing is, I knew I could take my time with all the supposedly safer choices around, but... I guess what doesn't scare me makes me stronger?

I know it's not going to be an easy ride, but at the very least, we have each other to hold on to (:


I may never take a 20 meters' plunge in reality but i'd fall for you a dozen times over..
